i’ve already told you about some of the guests up there (like virginia williams and norman kim), but also taking the stage by storm will be tommy D and david gaziel and, of course, the wonderful andrew glazier. so this will definitely be a “one of a kind” show. and i’m not sure when i’m gonna play another … so all the more reason to be there tonight! and all you westsiders have no excuse, since we’re playing in your hood at last.

so i am slowly recovering from my accident. i swear, other people sprain their ankle and are better in weeks. i, on the other hand, end up needing another x-ray, and after seeing the orthopedist, now need an MRI. geez! but the good news is, i will not be on crutches or a cane at the temple bar … so i am gonna work it as much as i can. come watch my new dance … it’s called the gimp limp.

and i am very, very, very excited about this show at the temple bar (www.templebarlive.com). it will be my first time playing there and i’ve wanted to perform there for some time. so we really need you guys out there for this one! PLUS it will be a full band show with some very special guests including the wonderful norman kim on guitar and vocals ( www.mypsace.com/normanmusic) and the lovely virginia williams on vocals (many of you know her as the mailing list queen or as my best friend or as my roomie, but did you know she can sing? watch out as she takes the mic! oh, and i think most of you know she’s an actress, and now you can see her reel online at www.actoreels.com/virginia_williams/ … so talented!). PLUS it will be the last show of the year as i’m taking december off to work on some other things i have up my sleeve (tee hee) … can you believe how fast this year has flown?

anyway, enough about my foot … you can hear more tales from my trip at any of the upcoming shows … i’m listing a bunch at the bottom of this e-mail, as i have more news to tell first. but most imortantly, we have booked our first show at the temple bar in santa monica. for anyone who hasn’t been there, it’s super cool and i’ve been wanting to play there for some time, so i’m stoked about it! plus, it’s far enough away that my foot should be back to normal by then … so mark the calendars now for tuesday, november 29th, at 9:30pm …

ASCAP AWARD

for the third year in a row, i am the recipient of the ASCAPLU$ award. this award recognizes active and promising songwriters based on frequent performances/independently produced recordings. woo hoo!

SAN FRANCISCO

i am returning to the bay the first weekend in november. my main reason for going is honestly because my uncle will be performing there that saturday night, but i figured i’d join him in the playing so i will be performing at the cannery on sunday, november 6th, from 11am-2pm.

ROCKRGRL CONFERENCE

i have been selected to SHOWCASE at the rockrgrl conference in seattle next month. so if you’re going to be up there for that conference, i will be performing at Rendezvous Grotto on Saturday, November 12th, at 11:30pm.

oh, and this week/weekend i’m doing a bunch of shows too, if you just can’t wait until the end of november (or fly to san fran or seattle for me) …
